On June 27, President Joe Biden and Former President Donald Trump were in the Presidential debate hosted by CNN in Atlanta.

After the debate, many Trump and President Biden supporters have been stepping back from the election, doubting the candidate they were supporting. The two rivals did their best to address concerns about their age and did everything they could to tarnish their opponent’s name.

The effects of the debate and the harsh remarks of the two candidates were quickly felt, especially by Biden. Instead of delivering something energetic, a hoarse President Biden started talking. He was stuttering, and even losing his train of thought occasionally. Trump took this to his advantage and started to criticize him.

There are even Democrats discussing replacing Biden. Desperate, his supporters did their best to explain why his performance fell so short, claiming he had a cold or that it wasn’t his night.

“I know I’m not a young man,” President Biden says, “I don’t speak as smoothly as I used to. I don’t debate as well as I used to, but I know what I do know – I know how to tell the truth!”

However, people are targeting Joe Biden for this exact reason. An anonymous state party chair strongly thinks that Biden has to step down, “Look at what happened when Ginsburg refused to resign…She thought she was doing the right thing but then she died, and now [conservatives] have a supermajority because she wouldn’t let go.”

Other than President Biden’s performance, people have been criticizing Trump for his criticism during the debate. He had been hurling many personal insults at President Biden and it has been affecting his profile for example calling him the worst president ever .

Trump doubl-downed on many fake claims that would make Biden seem like an irresponsible leader. He has said that Biden has been raising taxes and the food prices rising by a lot even though it hasn’t shown anything dramatic like doubling or quadrupling.

The debate’s impacts have been fast and doing their job and it’s making a turn of events more likely. Now the candidate’s supporters are now hanging on to every word and action the two presidents make. Calculating whether or not they should be president for the second time.
