Katie Ledecky surpassed Michael Phelps in the amount of Gold Medals won and is a world record holder in 800 meter freestyle and 1500 meter free.

It is also her 16th individual title at the championships. This shows how determined Katie Ledecky is as she is always pushing herself to complete her goal. This is also important in the swimming world as she still remains the world record holder in her times and has more gold medals than the famous and retired Michael Phelps.

The Americans have the most medals in the championship with 30 while the Australians are second with 20 and China in third with 13.
