Magnus White, a top American cyclist, has died after being hit by a car in Boulder, CO. White was training for the Junior Men’s Mountain Bike Cross-Country World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland next week. He’s part of the Cycling’s junior men’s national team and won the USA Cyclocross Junior Men’s National Championship in 2021. White competed in his first cyclocross in Fayetteville, AK. His second race was in the Netherlands.

At the age of two, White received the strider bike that started his cycling journey. When he turned eight, he started to train with Boulder Junior Cycling. He joined the youth national team at the age of ten, and wanted to graduate high school early to participate in a competition in 2024.

As White rode along Highway 119, he was hit by a car. He was confirmed dead at the hospital. USA cycling stated that “his passion for cycling was evident through his racing and camaraderie with his teammates and local community.”
