Tony Bennet and Lady Gaga performed together in 2014. Their duet resulted in a big success for both artists when the crooner and the pop star united, and their careers took off.

In 2011, Gaga was performing for a fundraiser that Bennett attended. He was impressed with her skills and decided to try to work with her on music. “It’s a humbling experience doing this with Tony,” she said. After releasing their first piece of music, they started planning what would become their first album. In an interview, Gaga called it the most important album in her whole music career.

When they recently teamed up together, Lady Gaga commented on Bennet’s struggles during rehearsal, “When the music comes on, something happens to him,” she said. “He knows exactly what he’s doing.” When Gaga worked with Bennet, some questioned their music and thought it was just a plan for Gaga to be more famous. With Benett’s help, she won fans from older generations, like the ones who listen to Bennet’s music.
