All kinds of people enjoy rap battles. Also, there are many rap battle leagues, such as the Trap NY is one of them. Trap NY is a famous institution where stars are born. The Trap NY was founded by Tyrell Reid, whose rap name is No Mercy.

Hero is a rapper from Dallas.

“This is one of those places where you can make a statement with the right type of performance. It’s a place where you’ve got to prove you’re one of them guys that matter in battle rap,” Hero said.

The rules of rap battles are usually simple. There are three rounds where two rappers try to out-rap each other. The raps are made specifically for the opponent. There’s no secured victory at the end. The audience debates who wins.

Ultimate Rap League (URL) is another rap league. Troy Mitchell, known as Smack founded it.

“This was a sport that didn’t really have the recognition nor the respect from hip-hop culture to the point where these M.C.s could get paid,” Smack said. “Once we brought it from the streets and took it to venues, we started to create a business out of it, a business where we could actually pay M.C.s to do something that they love to do.”

Rapping is a fun thing for a lot of people, and women are doing it as well. The rap community has flourished a lot, and it will continue to.
