There is a video game called Minecraft, and it is made out of squares and rectangles. I rate it 4 out of 5.
The game is very, very fun. You have ten hearts, which can be divided by two depending on how you get hurt. If you lose all ten, depending on the game settings, you might lose all your stuff and respawn; or, depending on the game settings, you will keep all of your stuff and still respawn. The living things in Minecraft are called mobs. There are pigs, sheep, lama, cows, and fish; which include pufferfish, corals, and most recently, tadpoles, frogs, and 4 new spawn eggs (including the tadpoles and frogs).
There are also monsters. Some monsters you will encounter are: endermen, skeletons, creepers, zombies, and witches. You can fight the monsters and they will drop things— for example, the skeleton holds a bow and when you defeat it, it will drop bones, the bow, and arrows. The skeletons usually drop these items, but it is not uncommon for them to drop nothing.
You can grow flowers and trees by using a special material created by bones dropped from a skeleton. You can light fires using flint and steel, and swim in the ocean with dolphins. They will lead you to sunken ships with treasure maps if you feed them cod.
To start the game, you will spawn somewhere random in the Minecraft world. Look around for trees and break the wood. Then you can turn them into planks and make sticks. Then you can make a wooden pickaxe, which you can use to mine stone, and make a stone pickaxe, which is an upgraded version of a wooden pickaxe. Then you can make an iron pickaxe, a diamond pickaxe, and then netheriten pickaxe. You can do the same thing with a sword and an axe. A sword is used to kill mobs and an axe is used to break the wood.
But one thing about Minecraft is that it doesn’t make a lot of sense. Tadpoles can survive even without water. You can’t sleep if there are monsters nearby; you can’t even see them! Llamas can even spit at you and make you lose a heart.
You can get the game and play it on a laptop, computer, iPad, or Xbox. It will be worth it! Minecraft is super fun.
