Minecraft is a game created by a person named Murkus “Notch” in the Java programming language. It was a sandbox developed by Mojang. Minecraft first became an actual game in May 2009. Minecraft is the best-selling video game of all time with more than 238 million copies sold. The company earns almost $140 million monthly.
In the game, Minecraft players explore a blocky, 3D world with an infinite amount of terrain. Players can discover raw and rare materials with which to build structures, craft tools and items, and make matches. Players can choose between survival-game mode or creative-game mode. When you use survival-game mode, you receive a health bar and a hunger bar, and you have to collect your own material. On the other hand, when you use creative-game mode, you receive no health bar and no hunger bar. You do have access to “infinity blocks” and some blocks that are so rare that you will never have to return to survival mode.
My opinion of Minecraft is that it is good. My reasons are:
1) Minecraft includes very little graphic violence or inappropriate content. Players can kill only animals and other players.
2) Minecraft has been described as “online Legos,” because you can create almost anything in Minecraft, and l love Legos.
3) Playing Minecraft is a good way for kids to learn about creativity and working together.
