The Spy

By: Alyssa Hong

After a 5-minute hold, another agent finally picked up.

“Hello?” The agent on the other end responded. From what Alexander could tell, it was agent Black.

“Hi, this is Agent Hale. Luna appears to have stolen the helicopter.”

“WHAT?”

“You heard me! LUNA. STOLE. THE. HELI. COPTER! DIDN’T THE AGENT I WAS ON WITH TELL YOU?!” Alexander yelled.

“NO! OBVIOUSLY NOT!” The other agent shouted back at Alexander. The conversation continued with Agent Back and Agent Hale yelling back and forth.

“WELL, DO SOMETHING!”

“WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?”

“CALL THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION!”

“ALL RIGHT!”

The agent hung up, and a few seconds later, the Department of Transportation called back.

“Hello?”

“Hi. Agent Hale here. I’m sure you’ve been notified of the current… Situation I’m in.”

“Yes. Right now, I need you to head back to CIA HQ. We’ll take care of this. We’ll alert you when we need your help.”

“Fine. I’ll head back now. Could you send someone to pick me up?”

“We’re sending someone over right now.”

And, just like that, the receptionist hung up.

Alexander ended up waiting over 4 hours for the agent who was picking him up. He stayed quiet the whole flight, and so did the pilot. (Agent Thomas) After arriving back at the CIA headquarters, he was allowed to go on break while they figured out what their next move was. From what Alexander knew, agents usually didn’t disappear with a 2 million dollar helicopter in the middle of the mission. In fact they had barely started the second mission! But, Alexander had a feeling there was more to the story.
