Letter for former Teacher

By: Isabella Wong

Dear Mrs. Mikami,

I hope you are doing well! I just wanted to thank you for having so much of an impact on me and my education.

When I started off as a second grader in your class, I was not the most well-behaved student. But you helped me grow and mature to become the student I am today. I remembered when you used the marble jar as an example of how students learn. By adding more marbles to the jar, or adding more knowledge to our brains, it can help us grow to become smart and independent people. Aside from math, ELA, social studies, and science, you taught me the importance of getting along well with others and collaboration, which made project-based learning so much easier for me to adjust to.

I am about to transition from being a middle schooler at Quimby Oak to becoming a freshman in high school, and I will carry the skills you taught me in elementary school with me to high school and so on. Again, thank you for everything you have taught me.

Sincerely,

Isabella Wong.
