It’s Alive!

By: Alana Zhang

I walked into my room and guess what, I saw my toy walking towards my toy basket. But I couldn’t believe she was alive, walking on the ground. As soon as she saw me, she instantly froze and fell to the ground. I immediately picked her up, then threw her in the trash can. I didn’t feel okay throwing away my favorite toy though. So, I went back into my room. Then, I saw that same toy standing up right in front of me.

I felt like I was dreaming but no, I wasn’t. I ran away after throwing her on the sidewalk. Then, that evening, I saw her talking with my mom and dad. I freaked out when I found out my parents were fine with talking to a toy seal. But as soon as I got home my parents “introduced” Sealy, my 5 year old toy, to me.

Then she just shows up alive and I don’t know how I didn’t do anything except for letting her drink the lemonade in the fridge. Maybe that is why she is like a toy from Toy Story: Alive at night which I didn’t expect. But that’s when I realized that the lemonade that apparently expired caused her to have this kind of reaction. I didn’t expect this to happen so I abandoned her and gave Sealy to my neighbor who loved her which was great. After that day, I never gave any drink or real food to my toys.
