Hi!! My name is Catherine, and today I’m going to tell you all about me.

I am a 9 year old and about to be a 4th grader. I live with my mom, dad, brother, and kitty. I go to SAS (Shanghai American School), where I learn a lot. I have many talents, and also love to bake, read, write, draw, and make crafts. My dream is to become a successful celebrity fashion designer.

First, let’s talk about how I feel about the fact that I’m about to be a 4th grader. I never thought time would go by this fast; I feel like yesterday I was still a baby in diapers and sleeping in my mom’s lap, and suddenly, I became this 9-year-old girl about to start 4th grade! Anyway, I’m really, really excited to start this next chapter of my life. I’m going to make a lot of friends and learn so many new and fascinating things. 4th grade has got to be one of the best chapters of my life.

Now, I’m going to tell you what it feels like living in my household. My mom and dad have always been super strict with me, so I never leave the top 3 in my grade level. On the other hand, my brother is quite clever and smart but doesn’t work as hard as I do. (Fun Fact: My brother is also in Letterly Writing Camp.) He is fooling around most of the time and always annoys me – I feel like all brothers are like that. Even though he is 2 years older than me, sometimes he acts like a toddler. The best and most entertaining part of my family is my cat, Starlight. She’s not even 1 year old yet. We got her for Chinese New Year, and she is the literal best pet a person can possibly ask for. She loves toys that have bells or are scented. She’s honestly the prettiest and cutest cat I’ve ever seen.

I’m also really talented, not to brag, but you definitely become talented when your mom makes you go to ballet, swimming, reading, writing, piano, and gymnastics classes. Well, I chose gymnastics myself. What I really think I was built for is fashion design. I love to design clothes, and my dream is to one day be a celebrity fashion designer. My parents say that I have really good taste in clothes and that I will be the most famous designer when I grow up.

I also have a bunch of hobbies. I love to bake, even though I’m not that professional at it since my cupcakes look like a brick stacked beneath a pile of poop. But honestly, it tasted really good. My favorite thing to make is butter cookies. And that’s just one of my hobbies. I have a bunch more that I’m not going to talk about since it’s going to go on forever.
