During the Paris 2024 Olympics, there are tons of athletes from all around the world attending and showing their skill in the sport they play. Here are some to watch.

Simone Biles is one of the people to show off her talent. She represents the USA in gymnastics. Simone Biles is one of the greatest of all time athletes in her sport. She has a total of six olympic medals, which includes four gold, one silver, and one bronze.

Simone Biles made her comeback after dropping out of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics due to experiencing twisties. Twisties is a mental block which makes gymnasts lose where they are while twisting in the air.
But she worked on her mental health and attended the Olympics this year. Simone Biles won first place in the individual all-around event, adding to her heap of medals.

Another great athlete is Shelly-Anne-Fraser-Pryce representing Jamaica in Athletics. Despite her small size, around five feet, she is one of the best female sprinters in the world.

Shelly-Ann already has three Olympic gold medals, and is aiming for her fourth this year. She’s expecting to win against her tough competitor, USA’s Sha’Carri Richardson. Shelly-Ann says this might be her last Olympics so she is definitely motivated to win.

Shelly-Ann isn’t the only amazing athlete in athletics. There’s also Noal Lyes representing the USA. He is currently the fastest man in the world. Although he hadn’t broken the world record for the 100 meters dash, he did win gold.

Last but not least, Katie Ledecky represents the USA as she receives a gold, a silver, and a bronze medal for this year’s Olympics. She is also currently a world record holder. Katie Ledecky won gold in the 1500 meter freestyle swim, silver in the 4×200 meter freestyle relay, and bronze in the 400 meter freestyle swim.
