Iconic Actor Returns with New Character Face

Recently, a famous actor got reintroduced to play an iconic comic book character for Marvel in the famous Hall H of San Diego Comic-Con.


When Marvel fans entered the building to hear details about the new films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), they saw many people as hooded figures dressed as Doctor Doom, a villain from the Fantastic Four comics.


Then, one of the hooded figures stepped towards the audience, revealing himself as Robert Downey Jr. and the crowd started cheering.


It was announced that Robert Downey Jr. is going to play Doctor Doom, the main enemy from the Fantastic Four comics. The Fantastic Four is going to have a movie in July 2025.


Previously, Robert Downey Jr. played Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man from many Marvel movies. Downey Jr. started acting in 2008 with the MCU for Iron Man. He continued to play as Iron Man until the character’s death in a movie of 2019, Avengers: Endgame.


At the event at Hall H of San Diego Comic-Con, Downey Jr. said to the audience, “New mask. Same task. What’d I tell you? I like playing complicated characters.”


It is going to be a big year for Marvel and superhero fans, as the Thunderbolts movie, starring Florence Pugh, is going to release in May 2025.
