Former President Donald Trump claimed that Vice President Kamala Harris used AI to come up with fake images that showed crowds at her campaign. These false claims were part of a series of posts on Truth Social, Trump’s social media platform, on Sunday.

Trump went after one recent Harris rally in Detroit, at which thousands congregated out front of an airplane hangar. Despite multiple media reports to confirm a large turnout, Trump wrongfully stated, “There was nobody at the plane,” and accused Harris of making crowd shots.

The Harris campaign quickly countered, releasing videos and photos of the event showing large attendance. They also pushed back against Trump on Truth Social and pushed videos online of Air Force Two arriving in Detroit to cheers and enthusiasm, saying, “This is what a rally in a swing state looks like.”
Trump’s attacks came as Harris was rapidly pushing her campaign in the 2024 presidential race, after being nominated as the presidential campaign instead of Biden. Recent polls indicate that Harris has caught the attention of swing states, which is frustrating to Trump.

Trump has also made war against other Republicans, like Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, which is adding to the confusion of his political stance. At a Harris campaign rally in Phoenix, her campaign estimated there were more than 15,000 attendees.

Trump’s latest claims have been compared to his voter fraud in the 2020 election. Trump said the faked images are part of a wider Democratic strategy to cheat and demanded that Harris be canceled.
