One day, a group of kittens was born in a small, old pet store at the edge of the city near the country side. The store was small and old because it was built a long time ago. Even so, the people who worked there were kind to pets, and were passionate of their job. They were very calm, and worked with what they had. You’d think this pet store would be popular in the city too, but it was so old, it just looked like a shed with the word pet store painted on the side, and since it was next to the country side, where not a lot of people live, they didn’t get a lot of customers.
The city people just thought it was just a group of homeless people trying to make money and paid no attention, but it was very popular for people in the country side. The people working there were watching the kitten and its 2 siblings pop out to the world one by one, and they all laid there, slowly opening their eyes, and saying hello to the world. One was orange, one had black and white stripes, and one was fully white. The employes of the shop had got a call from a farmer saying that he wanted a newborn kitten and puppy. The decided to give him the fully white one. A few days later, a Golden Retriever gave birth to 4 puppies, and they were all golden. The people running the pet store gave one to the farmer as the newborn puppy.
When the farmer got the newborn pets, he raised them by feeding and taking care of them. He soon realized though, that they avoided each other, and that sometimes led them to fight, and the farmer would have to take them to the vet in the city. The farmer brainstormed on how to get them to be friends, and he came up with an idea. He set it up, and it worked. Basically, he got them to think they wanted to help each other by putting one piece of dog food on the cat’s food, and one piece of cat food on the dog’s food. They would push it off, and it would seem like they were giving each other more food, so they would cooperate. The dog and cat liked each other for the rest of their lives, and the farmer had a good life and successful farm.
