I look at the darkening sky,
A gust of wind catches the trees
Fiercer and fiercer,
Until the trees seem to stretch and bend
Then, it all stops.
Time seems to freeze for a moment
I feel a drop
Then another
Soon the pavement is scattered with dark splotches
The marvelous smell of rain fills my nostrils
Before long, the gentle touch of water
Becomes a violent army of the sea.
After I go back in
I press my face against the window
Witnessing how fast nature can change its mood
