The Quest of Lifetime

“You gotta be kidding me” I said to Natilie. “The person that I bumped into is our friend.” Natilie looked confused about whether I sounded mad or happy, then concluded that I sounded mad.

“But we found our friend Crystal,” Natilie shrugged. “Why are you mad?” I thought about what Natilie said. It was true we had found our friend, so why was I mad? I nodded at Natilie and we both turned back to the boy.

“Hi! Sorry for that and bumping into you. My name is Crystal, and this is my friend Natilie. What is your name?”

“Name’s Jack. And what do you mean ‘I the one,’ am I special or something?” Jack asked. Natilie and I exchanged looks. Both of us were wondering if we should tell him. Natilie gave me a gentle nod. I took a deep breath and told Jack about what tribe I was in, the map, and my dream.

Once we were done explaining, Jack looked at us with shock. After a moment, he started laughing. Moments later he looked at both of us, then looked directly into my eyes. I saw his hazel eyes trying to see if we were lying or not.

Jack seemed to decide we were lying and finally said “If what you’re saying is true show me the ‘Map of Destiny’ because I thought it was only part of a story.” Natilie dug through her bag and got the map out. I took it from her hand and shoved it in Jack’s face. Jack went pale.

“It really is the map. Fine, I believe you. Do you mind if I come with you, because I am trapped here every single day. Plus, it is super boring here.”

Natilie and I looked at each other with big smiles on our faces. We immediately let Jack into our adventure headed to the Air Tribe’s mountain.
