Mysterious Night

The night comes creeping

The darkness consumes the town

Figures crawling through

The Moon

One star among all

A jewel in the vast ocean

Shimmering stillness

Lemons

Lemons are sour

They are similar to life

Sour in sweetness

The Unspoken Darkness

Danger lies within

The silence crawls through your brain

Sucking up your breath

Rain

Nurturing the earth

Adorning the plants

Giving a new start

Food- Sonnet

Joy can be found in all delicious food

The delicacies all around the globe

All you need to do is to set the mood

Grapes taste especially good with a robe.

Being healthy is also very good

One needs to think of their health at this time.

Smoked meat tastes best when smoked with real wood.

“Dishes taste great when you add in some thyme.

A grilled cheese sandwich should not taste cheesy

A good grilled cheese should be served hot not cold

Or else you might find it to be greasy

Good grilled cheese sandwiches are pots of gold

Food is the language of love and caring

Do not forget to be kind and sharing

Rain- Free Verse

The gentle rain comes down

Adorns each and every petal.

Crystal droplets coming out of the sky

Drops to wake the grounds and greens.

The plants embrace but humans reject

For fear of getting wet

Farmers will pray while athletes will not.

Jewels of nature are a gift for the earth

Leaves glisten after the morning dew

Leaving behind many gifts for you and me

Reviving the grass and plants

Restoring and cleaning the earth.

The water flows infinitely with no end.
