Recently, researchers noticed that more and more bird corpses were piling below power lines. Originally, the scientists believed that these carcasses were the result of birds landing on the power lines and electrocuting themselves.
The three main causes of death for birds are car crashes, electrocution, and hunters. Turns out, the truth is a completely different story. Many of the birds were actually shot down by people. Most of them perceive shooting protected birds as a hobby, while others view the birds as a threat to livestock like chickens. The only way to stop the illegal hunting of the endangered birds is to catch and convict some of the offenders, so first they have to figure out when and where these events happen.
