A winter school exam celebration in Johannesburg took a turn for the worst when 20 of the members died. The cause of death is yet to be known but health department workers are running autopsies to find out the cause. For now, the dead bodies are being taken to the cemetery. The owner of the place that held the celebration claimed that there were too many people and that people were squished together, which caused the deaths. Another idea is that the alcohol served at the party may have poisoned the students and killed them.

This news is made even more tragic as it happened during Young Month, a time to celebrate the youths of the world. Sinovuyo Monyane was a person there who was promoting an alcohol brand and she was one of the survivors of the incident. She told the press that she passed out and there was an odor in the air that smelled like pepper spray. The alcohol seller poured water onto the students to wake them up, thinking that they were drunk. Little did he know that they were already dead.
