Huge Crowds Travel Streets of London to Protest Infuriating Costs

By: Bonnie Wang

Citizens of London traveled through the streets to protest about the cost of living in Britain this past Saturday.

Expenses and prices have gone up even before the pandemic; in fact, they have increased since 2008.

Many find this unfair and believe that price inflation should be stopped. Boris Johnson, the Prime Minister of Britain, has said, “We’ve got residents who are coming into our offices who are choosing between feeding their own kids, not themselves, their own kids, and paying rent and heating. That is just not a choice that anyone should have to face, you know, in the fourth biggest economy in the world.”

In the streets of London people carried banners saying “ CUT WAR, NOT WELFARE!”

Gas prices now are about 125 dollars to fill up an average family car in Britain.
