Florida orders for child vaccination

By: Charlie Wang

In Florida, medical professionals and the federal government were pressuring the children’s hospital and pediatricians in Florida to give very young kids vaccinations. The White House thought of this as a first step towards vaccinating very young kids.

Medical professionals and the federal government are pushing Florida to order the vaccinations for very young kids. This would ensure that families in Florida would be able to receive the vaccination. If the food and drug administration did not approve the vaccinations for the kids, then Florida governor, Republican Paul DeSantis will prolong his stance to prevent young children from receiving the vaccine.

Florida did not allow preordered vaccines, so they didn’t accept the first wave of vaccine. Because of this, the delivery would be prolonged to a Monday. However, Florida missed their shipment, so they had to add another week to the delivery date. “The state of Florida intentionally missed multiple deadlines to order vaccines to protect its youngest kids.” Said, Ashish K. Jha, the White House’s coronavirus response coordinator.

Brian Griffin, a deputy press secretary for Mr. DeSantis, has chosen not to give child under the age of 5 a vaccination because he thought the vaccination was not healthy for them. He thought that the Florida policy was wrong.

Doctors cannot order doses on their own to ensure the safety of the kids. Mr. DeSantis was against vaccination for kids. He refused to preorder and put some medical facilities under state control. Florida is receiving pressure from professional medics, and they are doing there best to deal with the situation happening.
