A Man in a Wig was Detained after Throwing a Piece of Cake at the Mona Lisa

On May 30, 2022, a man in a wig was brought into custody after throwing a cake onto the Mona Lisa. Witnesses filmed the aftermath, as the cake’s icing was wiped off the glass case that protects the painting.

As the man was being arrested, he gave a speech in French about climate change and why he threw the cake. It pretty much went like this: “Think of the Earth!” he said. “There are people who are destroying the Earth! Think about it. Artists tell you: Think of the earth. That’s why I did that.” After that a staff member continued to spread cakes and toss roses all over the place before being taken away by security.

This is not the first time the Mona Lisa has gotten into trouble. one time the Mona Lisa was damaged by acid. In 1911, it disappeared and was lost for more than two years until the burglar was reported trying to sell the painting to an Italian art dealer.

In 2005 they put a frame on it to help its temperature.

If the man thought the protection wasn’t that great he would tell that in different ways like the security systems. The same goes with the burglar if he stole it other people wouldn’t be able to enjoy it. The burglar was brought to justice while the 36 year old man who caked the painting was brought to the psychiatric unit, according to the AP. And I’m pretty sure both of them went to the court for judgment. And after that they must’ve gone to jail. The security should get stronger with more guards and more armed people. Along with security cameras that can tell the president and stuff. Oh yeah plus the important people are the navy, air force, and the people with the jets and airplanes plus the missiles. That’s all I know.
