Last year in Paris, a man in a wig threw a piece of cake at the Mona Lisa. He apparently did this in order to send a message about people destroying the Earth.

According to The Associated Press, the man later said: “Think of the Earth! There are people who are destroying the Earth! Think about it. Artists tell you: think of the Earth. That’s why I did this.” People are destroying the Earth the same way the man ruined the painting. They are littering and polluting. They are harming the world with every single piece of litter, and every single tree cut down.

Even if the 36-year-old man threw that piece of cake at the Mona Lisa was to attract more attention for the earth’s protection, maybe he could have done something else other that harming the fragile and precious piece of artwork.

After the man was put away, someone cleared the cake off the glass protecting the Mona Lisa. “So the Mona Lisa was recovered – and her fame was all the greater,” said the Louvre.

In summary, I agree to what the man had said. But he did not need to resort to such violent means to tell us to care more about the planet.
