A man that was disguised as an old woman threw a piece of cake at the Mona Lisa on the day of May 22 2022 .

A video was posted showing security guards dragging the man away. He spoke about earth in French “Think of the Earth! There are people who are destroying the Earth! Think about it. Artists tell you: think of the Earth. That’s why I did this,”.The man who threw the cake at the Mona Lisa was a 36 year old man and got detained and sent to a psychiatric unit according to the Associated Press.

Another video was posted with people cleaning the cake on the glass protecting the Mona Lisa.

The Mona Lisa was painted by Leonardo Da vinci 1503-1519 oil painting hung in the largest room in a museum called Louver.

This painting has been in trouble many times, there was an acid attack in 1950 causing the protective glass to go up.
