Once dad took me out to the shore, out swimming.
Horrible thoughts rose above me.
Will I drown?
Will a monster eat me?
Looking at the clear sea and the sunny beach, I got courage again.
I wore my glasses tightly and dove in.
The sea isn’t cold as ice.
It was warm.
I swam happily and… of course, no monsters, no sharks, I floated and there was no way I could drown.
That’s how I loved swimming.
