After a Decade Rover Captures Clear Pictures of Mars Sun Rays

By: JJ G

Scientists have been researching Mars for over a decade now because Mars is the most habitable planet after Earth.

Mars has lakes, oxygen, and iron, just like Earth. In 2020, NASA used a rover, named Perseverance to seek signs of ancient life and collect samples of rock and regolith (broken rock and soil) for a possible return to Earth. Perseverance took off on July 30, 2020. Later, in 2022 NASA launched a rover named Curiosity. Curiosity landed at Gale Crater. Gale Crater is a foot of a layered mountain within this massive crater. Curiosity caught a picture of Mars’s sun rays closes to the Gale Crater.
