Simone Biles-Gymnastics
Simone Arianna Biles, representing Team USA is described as one of the greatest athletes of all time. She has won a total of 11 Olympic medals including the four she won so far in the Paris Olympics, with seven gold, two silver, and two bronze. At the Tokyo games, she experienced “twisties” (amental blocking which causes a gymnast to lose their sense of space in the air) and withdrew from the rest of the Games. Simone Biles is also known as the most decorated gymnast in history, with 30 world champion medals not including her 11 Olympic medals.
Katie Ledecky-Swimming
Katie Ledecky swims for Team USA and has won a total of 14 medals in her Olympic career, with 9 gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze. She has won two gold, one silver and one bronze during the Paris Olympics swimming events so far.
Sunisa Lee-Gymnastics
Sunisa Lee, whose nickname is Suni, also represents team USA . She has won a total of six Olympic medals so far in her career: two gold, one silver, and three bronze. According to Team USA, Suni was the first American women to win 2 medals in the uneven bars event. In the 2024 Olympics, she has won gold in Women’s Artistic Team All-Arounds, and bronze in both Women’s Artistic Individual All-Arounds and Women’s Uneven Bars-Artistic Gymnastics.
Serena Williams-Tennis
Serena Williams has 23 Grand Slam single titles and 4 Olympic gold medals making her one of the best tennis players in history. She has also succeeded playing doubles with her older sister Venus. In total, she owns 39 major titles which include; 14 in women’s double, 2 in mixed doubles and 23 in singles.
