Texas is currently facing a huge Atlantic hurricane, Beryl, that’s knocking down trees and powerlines, and even causing death. The hurricane first started as a small storm and it quickly changed into a huge hurricane.

A tropical storm forming in the Atlantic Ocean near the end of June evolved into a hurricane just two weeks ago.

Before passing the Gulf of Mexico, Beryl first went through the Caribbean, flattening islands and killing eleven people in the process. As it approached and arrived in southern Texas tourists were frantically trying to leave Texas in fear of the hurricane. There were even some residents doing the same.

As of today, the coast of Texas is a mess. There are extremely strong winds practically pushing and shoving the trees becoming a disturbance when sleeping, and the rain is being dumped on places in Texas. Some drivers are stuck on the road due to the floods caused by Beryl. with the Hurricane are doing their best to navigate through the deep water on the road but not all of them can successfully get through this mess. So far two deaths have been caused by the many trees falling from the impact of the current weather in Texas.

Power outages are also increasing as from 100,000 people without access to electricity, there are now more than 2 million people without any access to electricity.

“This early-season storm activity is breaking records that were set in 1933 and 2005, two of the busiest Atlantic hurricane seasons on record,” said Philip Klotzbach, an expert in seasonal hurricane forecasts at Colorado State University. This hurricane increases the chances of future hurricanes

The current weather of Texas is still changing and people are busy doing their best to stay safe. The Atlantic Ocean storm is truly something and even if it isn’t as strong as the hurricanes in the past, it will be an important part of history.
