Biden receives COVID-19 Vaccine

By Andrew Tan

Biden received his first dose of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. He is still waiting for his second dose, and says that he is looking forward to it.

Biden says that “there’s nothing to worry about” in taking the vaccine. It’s only the beginning. The vaccine is coming out but it will take time. Biden adds that everyone should still keep maintaining social distance and travel only if they have to. Since Biden received the vaccine, he has joined other leaders who are sharing videos or photos to get the public’s trust in the vaccines. Biden says that Trump deserves credit for setting a goal of handing out 100 million vaccine shots in the first 100 days. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnel, R-Ky, tweeted after getting his first shot that vaccines are how we beat this virus. Biden is 78, an age that puts him at a higher risk. The White House hasn’t said when Trump or Melania Trump would receive the vaccine. Centers for Disease Control recommended that people over 75 should be the next group to receive the vaccine.
