Boiling heat wave hits France and Britain, kills animals in Spain

On a hot Friday in Britain, a boiling heat wave struck the country, and everyone started to panic. London was not built for hot days, especially days when the temperature reached around 107 degrees Fahrenheit.

“You just grin and bear it,” said Michael Finch, a 33-year-old lawyer who was pulling luggage, and holding a huge water bottle.

“Make sure you have some water,” he advised, “and then look forward to getting out the other side.”

But London is not the only country being affected throughout this devastating heat wave. France and Spain were also affected by it which also causes major problems across the countries.

For example, France’s original highest temperature was 104 degrees for 40 or more years, until today. Heat waves easily shattered France’s record with a stunning 107 degrees Fahrenheit.

And as for Spain, the heat wave didn’t cause many problems for people. But for many birds, as the heat wave slowly enveloped Europe, Spain’s bird population decreased drastically as the heat wave killed many birds. The worst part is the temperature in southern Spain exceeded the limits with a shocking temperature of 111.5 degrees.

Many people decided to help others with this devastating amount of heat by building fountains, pools, or anything water related to cool them off.

Even though with all this help to cool off, we just don’t have the infrastructure for this.
