Many British gymnastics have cruel punishments for the littlest situations. Take, for example, how children will be sat on, called names, and sworn and shouted at just because they needed the toilet!
There are other examples also, such as being forced to train even when injured. However, what Sarah Powell has to say about this treatment as the “boss” of British gymnastics is that, “British Gymnastics accepts all of the recommendations and key findings. We will not shy away from doing what is needed.”
Many find this an appropriate reaction and hope they do what they say. However, that does not make up for the fact that they have been pressured over what they ate, and again, not being able to use the toilet. Harsh treatment is not the answer to having a nice performance.
