Caitlin Clark is 22 years old and plays in the Iowa team as the point guard, and most of her team’s victories depend on her incredible shooting. Many people are starting to be interested in her team because her team won so many games. She makes many shots and scores her team many points. The game between the Louisiana State team and the Iowa team attracted 10 million viewers.
On February 15, 2024, Clark scored her 3,528th point and set a new record of the most points in NCAA history. Before, Kelsey Plum, 17 years old had a record of 3,528 points but two weeks later, Clark held the record of 3,649 points.
On March 3, 2024, she surpassed Pete Maravich’s record of 3,667 points. On March 20, 2024, for the NCAA Women’s Tournament, Clark added another 27 points to her record which made her have 3,798 points in total.
On March 8, 2024, Clark broke the record for the NCAA Division I 3-pointers. This title used to belong to the Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry. Clark has 59 career games with 25 points, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds, and that’s another NCAA record!
This year will be Clark’s final season for college basketball. She wanted to join the WNBA and is expected to be the top pick at the April 15, 2024 draft. Before all of that, Clark still has her final collegiate basketball career to wrap up.
