Our pets are amazing for being our friends. But when they get sick, we feel very sad. So, someone by the name of Cara Kiggins came up with an idea to use pets to help relieve traumatized children.
This amazing place, “Gabriel’s Angel,” was found in 2000. It helps children aged 6 to 18 years old with the children’s emotional support. This also includes other symptoms like recent illness, a traumatic situation, or other academic challenges.
Therapy teams visit the schools for about two hours to help the kids with any problems they are having. This is very effective because in the past year alone, they have helped over 2,100 children in Arizona overcome their mental issues.
Gabriel’s Angels focuses on enhancing the strengths identified by experts for a healthy childhood for the children. This includes affiliation, attachment, awareness, confidence, respect, self-respect, and tolerance. These skills are practiced during therapy. This includes giving children free time to play with stuffed animals and read to pets.
Many children were helped because of this company. And if it wasn’t for this place, many children would have suffered.
