The 2024 men’s Euro Finals ended2-1 with an 86th minute goal from Spain. England now has 58 years without a major tournament win. At halftime the game was 0-0. Then Nico Williams scored for Spain. Next, substitute Cole Palmer scored for England, and in the 86th minute Spain scored again.

Harry Kane the captain of the England national football team said, “I think we couldn’t really push on from the 1-1, and score another goal,”, but he did earn a share of the Euro 2024 Golden Boot by scoring 3 goals.

The manager of the England national team said, “As always in these games, it’s fine margins but I think overall Spain were the best team in the tournament and they deserved to win.” Now England will focus on the 2026 World Cup.

Prince William told his son, Prince George, “This time it just wasn’t meant to be.”, the 2 were at the stadium watching the game.King Charles also wrote to the team saying: “Please know that your success in reaching the European Championship final is a really great achievement by itself, and one that brings with it the pride of a nation which will continue to roar for the Three Lions today – and in the many triumphs which I have no doubt lie ahead.”

The England team fought hard and lost, but there are many great young players that will continue to carry on the England team in all the future tournaments.
