Falconets and why I’d like to have them

By: William Dong

I know falcons can be fierce, but to me, they look gorgeous. Falcons speed through the wind, hunting with incredible skill. A diving falcon hurtles through the air up to 200mph, moving faster than any other animal on earth. Their fierce eyes can spot a mouse from two miles away. I can barely see a car four blocks away. If I had a falcon’s eyes and speed, I would be a superhero.

I took a lot of effort to even decide which bird I wanted. I would also want a parrot, but I think that falcons and their face do add a lot of spice to the bird. Intelligence is also important to me for what bird I’d choose. Parrots and falcons both have it, too. But falcons have it mostly in strategy and tactics. I like that about them.

I would first even sky dive with it. We would also travel. That is, he will be flying in the air, I on a plane/train/car/cruise. He will also be ‘free’. This will mean he will get some exploring time by himself, rather than I looking after him.

Though it will be fun. It is a lot of practice to tame one. Additionally, the equipment is costly. If I were to tame one. Then we would be pets again.
