Who’s up for staying in a life-sized version of Polly Pocket’s compact? Originally just bigger than a large makeup compact, which is a small container that you can open and close, it was just big enough to fit in a fun doll to play with. With this new life-sized compact, you can get a taste of a doll’s life in a plastic heaven complete with a full-sized plastic refrigerator, and some of Polly’s favorite styles and outfits. To celebrate Polly Pocket’s 35th anniversary, this special dollhouse has been opened to guests!
The house, located in the small town of Littleton, Massachusetts, is shaped like a makeup compact and is an exact replica of the toy compact from the 1990s. If you book a stay, you can either spend the night in Polly’s adventure tent, just 10 feet away from the house, or you can sleep under the stars on Polly’s pull-out couch. Her compact was originally, well, ‘pocket sized,’ and had all sorts of types. Another thing is: Polly’s compact never closes, making it “always open to adventure.”
Guests in groups of four can also spend their time at the compact making custom friendship bracelets, playing dress up with some of Polly’s favorite styles, and enjoying snacks from the 90s such as Ring Pops, Push Pops, and Baby Bottle Pops. The classic dollhouse offers a fun nostalgia-trip to 90s lovers. “I can’t wait for you to visit and help celebrate my birthday in my most epic compact ever,” says Polly on the site’s Airbnb listing. “Let’s have some serious slumber party fun in my hometown of Littleton, where we make the ordinary extraordinary. There’s adventure to be had from my closet full of nostalgic fashion fun to the surprises I’ve left hidden around the compact. The fun is endless!”
The compact shaped house also has a vanity with different hair accessories like rubber bands and scrunchies as well press on nails. The house aims to recreate the feeling of “Slumber Party Fun” and along with all the other fun activities, guests can relax and ‘kick back’ while eating popcorn and watching movies using video cassettes.
In this dream come to life, fans of Polly Pocket can really get a taste of her perspective from her compact.
