Fremont Rush Promotes the Organization at a Local Event, “Fremont Street Eat”

Fremont Rush Soccer Club isn’t the only one promoting organizations at a local food truck event.

It was July 28, 2023, on Capitol Avenue. The local event, “Fremont Street Eat,” is a weekly food truck event held in downtown Fremont every Friday from May through October. There was a chain of food trucks and many booths. One of the booths was blue and had white letters.

It said “Fremont Rush.” A volunteer parent named Gao was sitting near the registration desk. She smiled and passed stickers, small gifts, and flyers to passersby.

“I enjoy my time here to see people and different businesses. Also, I’m happy to help promote Fremont Rush here,” Gao remarked, smiling and handing someone a sticker with a soccer ball.

“I am a happy parent volunteer.”

Gao wasn’t the only one who enjoyed the event. Another volunteer for Fremont Rush commented, giving a little girl a FIFA tattoo, “I like being here because I can socialize with different people.”

“I like this event because it brings the community together to share in music, food, sports, and conversation,” Juanita, a parent and volunteer, said. “It also takes people outside and away from their electronics.”

Izabel Blancas, a coach at Fremont Rush, stated that she enjoyed this event. “I like being outside with my friends and soccer.”

She glanced at some kids happily playing soccer on the grass with a soccer ball. They took turns scoring a small goal.

Coach Ali, a Fremont Rush coach for the 2013 girl’s team, said contentedly, “I like this because it brings together many people of different ethnicities. Everyone has a good time, and there is great food to eat.” After stating this, he took a bite of his delicious hot dog.

Fremont Rush staff and many other business staff loved this event. Two Spanish players and coaches who visited California Paco Lobato-Mallorca and Jonathan Sesma-Cadiz commented on the kids. (This is translated from Spanish.) “I really enjoy teaching the kids in Fremont the way they play in Spain, and they really enjoy being in Fremont because I feel like I’m with family,” Paco Lobato-Mallorca expressed.

Lori Marrci, a worker at Fremont City Camp, smiled. “I like this event–you get to meet local businesses and eat good food.” Overall, it was really fun hanging out at the business stands.
