Gaijin has recently made an update to their game. They have been improving the economy, which many players have been asking for. But they have only fixed one part of the economy. Even though they have fixed Silver Lions for the most part, Research Points are still untouched.
Research Points (RP) is how you progress in the tech tree and unlock more vehicles to use in battle, with each vehicle of a higher BR taking more RP to unlock. You can get RP by just playing the game. For example you get some for eliminations, wins, captured points, and so on. Though this may seem like a good system, that is far from the truth. For the early game grind, you don’t need much RP to unlock vehicles. One usually takes only a few games to unlock if you play decently. But because RP cost scales, vehicles of much higher BR’s for example, 11.0, can sometimes take upwards of 50 matches to unlock.
As you can guess, many of the players really hate this. With people posting on social media about how slow and miserable the grind is, for example the user ‘Average Gunpod Enjoyer’ saying “I personally find it a bit too tedious unless you have lots of time on your hands or a premium account.” As well as ‘Mr Dearm’ saying “Rewards after ~7.7 are way too low and top tier is really unbalanced and kinda broken and requires a huge overhaul to fix”
To fix this, Gaijin could lower the cost of RP needed to unlock vehicles, and increase the gain of RP per match, which could easily solve this problem overnight.
