By Andy Dong

One person that was not a player has tested positive for the coronavirus at the Western and Southern Open that will begin at Flushing Meadows.

Garbine Muguruza is withdrawing from the Western and Southern open but still wants to play in the US Open. The person that has the coronavirus will be isolated for some time. Contact tracing is trying to find out if anyone else needs to isolate. “I have decided to withdraw from the Western and Southern Open due to discomfort in my left ankle, I really want to get back on Tour and do it in New York. I will work hard so that I can be there in a few days,” said Muguruza from bbc.com. Garbine Muguruza is a former French open champion and Wimbledon champion, she also managed to reach the Australian open this year.  Some players have decided to not play due to coronavirus, but on the men’s side, lots of players are going to play.
