Scientists have found that there are holes on the ocean floor, and that there can be many holes that can be seen on the sandy parts of the ocean that have never been explored.

Scientists say they don’t know why there are holes on the ocean floor but they do see them. They have found on many occasions that the holes are in the sand and not solid rock though.

Many of these findings have been near the mainland of Portugal, and they haven’t been really deep. But some think that there could be holes at the very bottom of the ocean floor if there are holes only 1.6 meter below sea level, reports the New York Times.

They say that there have been about 5 sightings of holes in the sand near Portugal. What could this could lead to, scientists don’t really know; but this is a problem that will be further studied.
