It started as a photo-sharing platform but quickly rose to become the most influential app of our generation.

Instagram is a social software application used for sharing photos and videos. This software was developed by software engineers in only eight weeks and launched on Apple’s mobile operating system in October 2010. It took Facebook less than two years to reach this level of popularity. $1 billion in cash acquired the company and its inventory.

Instagram is a social media application that can share photos, videos and transmit messages. Inspired by Systrom’s love of fine whiskey and Burbon, Instagram is a web application and was launched by Kevin Systrom in 2010. Since its launch on October 6th, it has had 25,000 users within one day. The main focus of the application is to display pictures, especially those taken on mobile devices. Facebook acquired the company for $1 billion in cash and stock ahead of its 2012 initial public offering (IPO).

Instagram reached 100,000 downloads by the end of the week after its launch on October 6, 2010. In December, the number of users of this software reached 1,000,000.

They decided to focus on one thing, and that was taking photos exclusively on mobile devices. They carefully studied the advanced applications in the field of photography at the time and then looked for functions such as filters and special effects that could be added to Instagram. And some photography software lacks the function of social media sharing, so the two of them intend to build an application that can connect Instagram and other photography websites.
