Aaron Judge is a baseball player with the Yankees baseball team. He has been with them for six-years.
In 2017, September 20th, Judge became a record breaker for getting 52 home runs at the end of the season, beating the record of 49 home runs made by Mark McGwire, and beating the team’s fun-season record of 29 home runs. His record would last two more years until it was beaten by Pete Alonso who got one more home run than Judge did.
He has been in the top 12 baseball players every year since his team defeated the Twins in the Wildcard game and the Indians in the ALDS and got defeated by the Astros in the ALCS.
But Judge has been unable to keep healthy in the years he’s been playing. His inability to keep healthy has raised some doubt; is he worth all the money he’s been asking for?
A baseball season has 162 games. In 2018, Judge only played 112. In 2019, he played even less; 102. Then, in a 2020 Covid shortened season, he played less than half of the games! Even though he plays very well on the field, should he get the money he asks for?
Before the 2022 season, the Yankees said they would give Judge $30.5 million every year for 7 years. However, he demanded more. And that’s when conversions between the Yankees and Aaron Judge started heating up because Judge demanded more.
The Yankees are one of the best baseball teams, but without Judge, they would fall into lower places.
