There is a big IT outage that has caused problems worldwide. The television channels, CBBC and Sky News, have both gone off air and are also unable to broadcast for the whole Friday morning. This has made changes to different companies. But it only affected companies that use a system called Microsoft Windows. This software update has resulted in worldwide IT chaos, causing canceled flights, like U.S Airlines, and healthcare disruption and potential problems. This IT crash is the biggest one in the past few years. There weren’t many schools with issues because of the IT outlet.
“CrowdStrike had said that it would take “some time” for the system to go back to normal.’ CrowdStrike is actively working with customers impacted by a defect update to windows hosts. It has also had a major global IT outage ground flight, and it hit banks and businesses around the world.
This defective update from U.S. cybersecurity software company Crowdstrike crashed Microsoft Windows systems around the world. Microsoft has estimated Saturday that 8.5 million Windows devices were affected in the global IT crash.
It was Friday Morning when CBBC had stopped broadcasting because of getting off air. SkyNews also could not broadcast. Luckily, both of these channels had come back on air later in the day. “GP practices around the country are working hard to make sure the patients that still need to be seen can be.” said Dr. Nikki Kanani.
