We are SO READY!

This week, our focus is on building vocabulary, which is so instrumental in helping your child to be a more confident and skilled reader.

But, you know us. These aren’t just going to be skill and drill sessions. We have some amazing, super engaging activities planned!

Our 3-5th graders will be working with context clues, which means they will use hints in the story (such as comparisons, contrasts, definitions, and examples) to help them figure out the meanings of unknown words. They will be our very own WORD INVESTIGATORS! So fun 😀

Our 6-8th grades will be doing a bit of investigating themselves, too! They’ll be working with morphemes, unpacking long, large words into smaller sections to figure out the definition. You won’t believe how engaging this type of mystery can be! 🔍

We couldn’t be more excited to see your children this week and watch them experience the magic of learning something new and helpful!
