On July 14th, 2022, Jak Knight, a famous actor, stand-up comedian, and actor, died in Los Angeles, California, at age 28. His family did confirm his death but never gave the cause.

Mr. Knight was born and grew up in Seattle, Washington. There, as a teenager, he started to do stand-up comedy.

Mr. Knight appeared in and wrote many shows. One was the coming-of-age animated sitcom ‘Big Mouth’ from 2017-2021. In ‘Big Mouth,’ Mr. Knight starred as the main character, DeVon.

Another show Mr. Knight starred in was the 2018 Netflix series, ‘The Comedy Lineup,’ where he performed 15-minute skits in the first season.

This Netflix show popularized Mr. Knight. Even though he hasn’t been famous, ‘The Comedy Lineup’ shared Mr. Knight’s comedy worldwide, making people discover him. In 2018, Mr. Knight won an ‘LA Comedian to Watch’ by TimeOut Los Angeles.

Some other awards Mr. Knight has won were the 2014 ‘Comedy Central Comic to Watch’ and the 2015 ‘Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. TimeOut Los Angeles said, “Knight brings so much joy and energy to the stage, he might not even need to be funny — but of course he is.”

“He was winning big,” Comedian James Adomian wrote, “all of it well deserved, so witty and memorable every moment on stage and off.

However, as Mr. Knight’s death spread, social media and the internet began to create tributes for Mr. Knight.
