Letter to my future self

By: Austin Fang

Hello future self,

Where are you? Are you sitting in your backyard, with that huge mansion that you should have? Do you have a good job, kids, and car? Did you go through MIT like you should have? Are mom and dad still there? If they are, ask them what you were like as a kid.

They just told you exactly what I’m like right now. I know. I’m immature and irresponsible. One day you were me, just remember that. One day, I’ll be you. What’s the future like? Are there time machines? Cyborgs? Robot dogs? Maybe even robot cats?

Right now, I am 11. My favorite color is orange. Joe Biden is president. Sloths are endangered. The Mavs are 8-6 (7th seed). Speaking of the Mavs, do they still have Luka?

Anyway, I hope you are successful. I hope your parents are still there because they are the greatest people in your life. Call them and tell them you appreciate them very much. Have a good life.

See you soon,

Austin
