Lightyear is a 2022 American computer-animated science fiction action-adventure film produced by Pixar. The film is a spin-off of Toy Story and serves as an origin story for the character Buzz Lightyear. It was directed by Angus Maclane and produced by Galyn Susman, and stars Chris Evans as the voice of the main character, with Keke Palmer, Peter Sohn, James Brolin, Taika Waititi, Dale Soules, Uzo Aduba, Mary McDonald-Lewis, Efren Ramirez, and Isiah Whitlock Jr. in other roles.
However, due to the moment in which Alisha Hawthorne BRIEFLY kisses her partner, Lightyear was banned in Muslim countries such as Bahrain, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria and the United Arab Emirates. Many Muslims consider gays and lesbians to be sinful. In some parts of the Arab world, it is to the extreme, imprisoning members of LGBTQ. In some countries, they still maintain the death penalty.
