11 year old Archana Shivraj ran to her mom asking if she could go to Taylor Swift’s concert after seeing the news that Swift was going to Canada. Shivraj is a big swiftie and from Markham, Canada.

Swift announced her new Eras Tour dates that would be taking place in 2024 internationally on August 3rd. Even though Shivraj was lucky enough to get tickets, so many other swifties didn’t. Either they weren’t lucky enough to get tickets due to the high demand or they couldn’t afford it.

Swift’s tickets are very pricey but since she has one of the biggest fandoms in the world it’s no surprise anyone would pay to go see her perform. Shivraj had been listening to Taylor for so long and she says, “A lot of her songs talk about empowerment and how she faced challenges and came out strong, and that just really inspires me.”

From Sherwood, Alberta, 13 year old Eleanor Reid says that Swift’s lyrics are what helped her gain millions of fans. Reid had been a swiftie since she was three. As you can imagine, she was super bummed when she heard Swift wasn’t coming to Canada when the first leg of the tour was announced.

Since so many Canadian fans were begging for Swift to come to Canada, after much hoping, they got their wish. Although they still had one problem. Even though Swift was coming to Canada, their tickets weren’t promised.

Shivraj will be super bummed if she won’t be able to make it and get tickets but Reid would be okay, she just hopes Taylor understands how much this tour means to her.
