In a tragic accident, 17-year-old cycling star Magnus White passed away after a collision with a driver on a Boulder, Colorado highway. He was a rising talent, set to compete in the Junior Men’s Mountain Bike Cross-Country World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland.
Magnus White’s love for cycling began at a young age when he first rode a strider bike at two years old. Growing up in Boulder, Colorado, he joined Boulder Junior Cycling and began racing at eight. He achieved remarkable success, winning the 2021 USA Cyclocross Junior Men’s National Championship and representing the U.S. in international competitions.
Magnus’s dedication to the sport and his enthusiasm made him a beloved figure in the cycling community.
Unfortunately, he passed away after getting hit by a car on Boulder, Colorado highway. The driver crossed the right-hand lane onto the shoulder, hitting White. He was transported to a hospital and was pronounced dead. No drugs or alcohol were involved in the accident, according to the state patrol.
